Thomas Lee Clark

Thomas Lee Clark, 80, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, NC, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at Cokesbury Village in Hockessin, DE.

Mr. Clark was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School, Class of 1947. He had degrees from Wake Forest University, Harvard University, and Princeton University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired corporate lawyer of DuPont in Wilmington, DE., and was a member of the Rotary Club there. He was a founder of the Sunday Evening Seminars at Christ Church Christiana Hundred. Mr. Clark attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, DE. He was a member of the Delaware State Bar and the Virginia State Bar.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Davis Clark, Sr. and Eddie Lou Clark, and his brother, C.D. Clark, Jr.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Louise T. Clark, of Roanoke Rapids; two nieces, Anna Clark of Atlanta, GA. and Carol C. Dean and her husband, David; great-nephew, Bryan Dean, and great-niece, Alex Dean, all of Roanoke Rapids.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Jim Bell will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
